6.7 An eiaiployee who is orc3ered or called oui to report in person for duty within o?ae <br />and one-half hours of completion of a normally scheduled shift shall have the time between the <br />end of the shift and the start of such duty counted as time worked taward the ininimum <br />estabiished overtime pay. <br />6.8. Any member of the bargaining unit who is ordered to duty but subseque.r.tly <br />released prior to reporting shall receive pay for one hour. <br />6.9 The employer realizes that empioyees are permitted to schedule time off for <br />vacations and paid holidays. The emptoyer will do everything possible to see that the empioyee <br />will get time off ihat is picked in accordance with department policy as established by the Chief of <br />Police. The emp[oyer will not cancet, exeept in an emergeney, any time picked during the original <br />vacatiQn and paid holiday picks. <br />T'he empIoyer also realizes that employees may ta1+e other vacation time and paid holidays <br />that a.re not addressed above. In addition, #ime aff is permitted in the form of overtime off and <br />unused sick leave time off.
