A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SCHOOL ZONE FLASHERS <br />ON LORAIN ROAD FOR CHESTNUT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AS DETAILED IN <br />THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Chestnut Elementary School at 30395 Lorain Road will be re-opened by <br />the North Olmsted School System the fall of 2001, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary plans and specifications, as prepared under the direction of the <br />Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the installation of school zone flashers on Lorain Road for Chestnut <br />Elementary School according to plans and specifications now on file in his office and that, upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />7zs <br />Barbara L.
