They can elect <br />car?didates ta local legislativc boards who may take positions regarding the governrnent <br />aggregativn prograni. They can express their views to their Iocal elected officials. Thcy ean <br />participatc in local and state meetir?gs and hearings regaTding issues related to the member <br />commurtity's Aggregation Pragram. <br />Mgnber ommunitY Legislatjve Hodv <br />Local oFficials may act on program and policy issues. They may individually choose to <br />participate in additional prograras of NQPEC, or terminate ths community's garticipation in <br />NOPEC. Ici addition, thcy may provide instructions to their repTesentative on the NOPEC <br />Assernbly regarding specific palicy or pragTam decisions. They may alsv raisc issues directed to <br />them by consumers for the NOPEC Assembly and Bvard to address. <br />NOPEC AssemblY <br />The NOPEC Assembly acis as the legislative body of NOPEC, including deeisians on <br />policy, budget, and other matters directed to it by the Board v f DireEtors. <br />Ir'dPFC Baard of L3irectars <br />The NoPEC Baard of Directors oversees the implementation and operation of all aspects <br />of thc Aggregation Program. The Board of pircctvrs provides recommendations regardiag <br />contracts, the budget and other matters to thz Asserabiy. lt approves purefiases of equipment, <br />facitities, or services within the approved budget and employs and provides instruction to the <br />Fiscat Agent, Executive Secretary, staff, legal counsel and eonsultants. <br />Fiscaf AQCnt Exccutive Seecetary an d Staff..
