?... ,;: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-162 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A NEW CONTRACT OF <br />EMPLOYMENT WITH JERRY LUDVIIK, THE GOLF PRO AT <br />THE SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on or about November 26, 1999, the City of North Olmsted entered into a <br />contract of employment with Jerry Ludvik to be the Golf Pro at the City's Springvale Golf <br />Course; and <br />WHEREAS, the initial term of said contract of employment was from April 1, 1999, to <br />December 1, 1999; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize a new contract of employment <br />for Jerry Ludvik, retroactively, for the period April 1, 2000, through December 31, 2000; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a new <br />contract of employment with Jerry Ludvik, to be golf pro at the Springvale Golf Course for the <br />period April 1, 2000, through December 31, 2000, in substantially the form and substance as <br />evidenced in the Contract of Employment attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Council finds that sufficient funds have been appropriated and <br />set aside this year to pay all monies due to Jerry Ludvik under this Contract of Employment. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this ordinance immediately go into effect upon adoption <br />because of the retroactivity of the start of the time period involved and the imminent end of the <br />time period, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />
