?... ,;: CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2000-162 BY: MAYOR MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A NEW CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT WITH JERRY LUDVIIK, THE GOLF PRO AT THE SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, on or about November 26, 1999, the City of North Olmsted entered into a contract of employment with Jerry Ludvik to be the Golf Pro at the City's Springvale Golf Course; and WHEREAS, the initial term of said contract of employment was from April 1, 1999, to December 1, 1999; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize a new contract of employment for Jerry Ludvik, retroactively, for the period April 1, 2000, through December 31, 2000; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a new contract of employment with Jerry Ludvik, to be golf pro at the Springvale Golf Course for the period April 1, 2000, through December 31, 2000, in substantially the form and substance as evidenced in the Contract of Employment attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit A." SECTION 2: That this Council finds that sufficient funds have been appropriated and set aside this year to pay all monies due to Jerry Ludvik under this Contract of Employment. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary that this ordinance immediately go into effect upon adoption because of the retroactivity of the start of the time period involved and the imminent end of the time period, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
