Ordinance 2000-13 7 Page 2 WHEREAS, a direct purchase of the leased complete dewatering centrifuge system and certain of its appurtenances would represent a short term and long term operation, maintenance and capital cost savings to the City; and WHEREAS, the Wastewater Treatment Plant has been in 100% compliance since the operation of the portable, leased complete dewatering centrifuge system and has been documented as greatly enhancing the performance of not only the 1999 and 2000 Aeration Unit Process Alternations but also the 1991 and the 1993 capital improvements made at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service, having received the attached quote for said lease, be and is hereby authorized to have P&H Senesac, Inc. lease a complete dewatering centrifuge system currently in use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant for an additional three months. In any event, the cost for said lease shall not exceed One Hundred and Nine Thousand Dollars ($109,000.00). Upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Contract for same. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the residents, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
