Ordinance 2000-13 7 <br />Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, a direct purchase of the leased complete dewatering centrifuge <br />system and certain of its appurtenances would represent a short term and long term <br />operation, maintenance and capital cost savings to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Wastewater Treatment Plant has been in 100% compliance since <br />the operation of the portable, leased complete dewatering centrifuge system and has been <br />documented as greatly enhancing the performance of not only the 1999 and 2000 <br />Aeration Unit Process Alternations but also the 1991 and the 1993 capital improvements <br />made at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service, having received the attached quote for <br />said lease, be and is hereby authorized to have P&H Senesac, Inc. lease a complete <br />dewatering centrifuge system currently in use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant for an <br />additional three months. In any event, the cost for said lease shall not exceed One <br />Hundred and Nine Thousand Dollars ($109,000.00). Upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Contract for <br />same. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the residents, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />A?-Itt `-tk-e+-)A7EST: <br />'Baxbara L.
