<br />???R+....,,...? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-123 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION <br />OF THE FIRE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC SAFETY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS: It is the desire of the Administration and Council to update and increase the <br />composition of the Fire Division. <br />NOW, T'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Division of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organiza.tiona.l Chart for the Fire Division and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Fire, who <br />shall be in charge of the entire Fire Division. <br />B. The Chief of Fire shall also be in charge of a general duty roster, which shall <br />consist of one Assistant Chief, four (4) Captains, six (6) Lieutenants, and <br />Forty-four (44) Firefighters. <br />C. The Chief of Fire shall also be in charge of a Secretary I and Secretary II. <br />SECTION 2: That the organization of the Fire Department shall consist of not less than <br />twenty-seven (27) nor more than fifty (50) sworn full time employees who are certified paramedics. <br />SECTION 3: That the salaries for all members of the Fire Department including <br />secretaries, shall be established either by contract or separate ordinance, which shall be approved <br />by City Council. <br />SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions, <br />in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance be, and hereby are, to the extent of <br />any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide an increase in the number of Firefighters <br />and Paramedics, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />- - , .. .. .. . . . ... .. .. .. ?
