<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 96 <br />BY.• MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREE- <br />MENT WITH TIMOTHY J. NORRIS & ASSOCIATES TO <br />PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN <br />OF A REPLACEMENT SOUND SYSTEM FOR THE ICE RINK <br />AT THE NORTH OLMSTED RECREATION CENTER AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the firm of Timothy <br />J. Norris & Associates be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise <br />in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf <br />of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with Timothy J. Norris & Associates to provide engineering services for <br />the design of a replacement sound system for the Ice Rink at the North Olmsted <br />Recreation Center. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br />and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor.
