?.. <br />Mr. Paul W. Deichmann <br />J u ne 30, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />DraftinQ Services: <br />1. Preparation of plans and detail sheets at appropriate scales. <br />2. All lettering shall be in a format acceptable to the city. <br />Detailed Design Document Services: <br />1. Preparation of design drawings and specifications for use in bidding and <br />construction. The specifications shall be incorporated into a Project Manual <br />which shall also include the advertisement, instruction to bidders, general <br />conditions, bid forms, Bond Requirements, Prevailing Wage Rates, Affidavits, <br />and other miscellaneous forms required for a bidding document. Final plans <br />and specifications shall incorporate all changes required in review of <br />preliminary or intermediate plans. <br />2. Work shall be coordinated with city personnel and utility companies as <br />necessary. <br />3. All design drawings and design details shall be prepared using AutoCad° <br />Version 14. AII design drawings and design details shall be submitted to the <br />City on diskettes, formatted in AutoCad° Version 14 containing a file for each <br />final design drawing and final design detail prepared during the project. <br />4. The specifications shall follow the format of the specifications and general <br />construction specifications content used by the City of North Olmsted for <br />recent improvements. The format of the specifications and general <br />construction specifications shall be provided by the North Olmsted Engineering <br />Department during the initiation of the detailed design effort. <br />5. Fifteen (15) sets of bound plans and Project Manuals shall be furnished to the <br />City for bidding purposes. Additional sets shall be provided, if required, at <br />cost. <br />6. An opinion of probable costs for the project, broken down into major <br />components, shall be submitted prior to bidding. <br />7. We will be available to answer questions regarding plan intent during bidding <br />and construction and shall assist the City in the evaluation of all bids received. <br />(cont.) <br />
