Y <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 74 <br />BY.• MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH METCALF & EDDY TO PROVIDE <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE HYDRAULIC <br />ANALYSES AND PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION <br />DOCUMENTS FOR DEWATERING CENTRIFUGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT THE WASTWATER TREATMENT <br />PLANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the firm of Metcalf <br />& Eddy be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this field; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf <br />of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT. ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />an agreement with Metcalf & Eddy to provide engineering services for the hydraulic <br />analyses and preparation of construction documents for dewatering centrifuge <br />improvements at the wastewater treatment plant. A copy of said agreement is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />
