CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 71 <br />BY: Mayor Norman T. Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORiZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPLACEMENT OF <br />CARPETING IN THE WARMING AREA AND THE FOOD SERVICE <br />AREA FOR THE ICE RINK AT THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />RECREATION CENTER IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS <br />DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of replacement of <br />carpeting in the warming area and the food service area for the ice rink at the North Olmsted <br />Recreation Center in the City, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the <br />Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for replacement of carpeting in the warnung area and the food service area for <br />the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center according to specifications now on file in his <br />office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and to expedite <br />the process to utilize the current construction season, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
