CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 71 BY: Mayor Norman T. Musial A RESOLUTION AUTHORiZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPLACEMENT OF CARPETING IN THE WARMING AREA AND THE FOOD SERVICE AREA FOR THE ICE RINK AT THE NORTH OLMSTED RECREATION CENTER IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of replacement of carpeting in the warming area and the food service area for the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center in the City, and WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an Agreement to construct said improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for replacement of carpeting in the warnung area and the food service area for the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center according to specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and to expedite the process to utilize the current construction season, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
