CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 63 <br />BY: MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL AND THE ENTIRE COUNCII, <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE NORTH OLMSTED HIGH SCHOOL <br />MARCHING BAND ON THEIR PLACEMENT OF FIRST PLACE IN THE ST. <br />PATRICK' S DAY PARADE IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted High School Marching Band was been chosen to <br />participate in the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, 2000 in Cleveland, Ohio; and, <br />WHEREAS, this was an honor for the 198 students that participated and <br />represented the City and School District of North Olmsted, Ohio; and, <br />WHEREAS, this was an opportunity and experience for the students in the North <br />Olmsted High School Marching Band, culturally and musically, to showcase our elite group <br />of dedicated young adults from the North Olmsted High School Marching Band under the <br />direction of Mr. John Kepperley; Assistant Directors, Mr. William Chiabattari and Mr. Martin <br />Witczak; drum major, Kevin Crowe; student band president, Justine Jonas; the Eaglets and <br />their advisor, Gina Caroccia; and, <br />WHEREAS, the members of the North Olmsted Marching Band who attended <br />the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cleveland, Ohio expressed themselves and their musical <br />talents and they were chosen and awarded First Place in the Marching Band Units that <br />participated in the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS,these students were in the local spotlight and gave their school and <br />the City of North Olmsted local recognition throughout their performances and how they <br />presented themselves and with their placement of first in this year's parade competition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION NO. 1: We do hereby commend and congratulate the North <br />Olmsted High School Marching Band on their participation and placement of FIRST PLACE <br />at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cleveland, Ohio on March 17, 2000. All citizens are urged <br />to salute all of the students that participated in the St. Patrick's Day Parade along with the <br />following directors and supporters: Director, Mr. John Kepperley; Assistant Directors, Mr. <br />William Chiabattari and Mr. Martin Witczak; Eaglet Advisor, Mrs. Gina Caroccia; the <br />Eaglets; Kevin Crowe, drum major; Justine Jonas, student band president and <br />NOBBO member, Mary Winkler. <br />SECTION NO. 2: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby <br />directed to transmit a duplicate original of this Resolution to Norman T. Musial, Mayor of the <br />City of North Olmsted to be officially presented at The NOHS Marching Band Concert <br />scheduled for May 18, 2000. <br />
