CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 41 BY.• MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CHAGRIN VALLEY ENGINEERING, LTD. TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK INCLUDING TENNIS COURTS, BA5KETBALL COURTS, SHUFFLEBOARD COURTS, LIGHTING, WATER LINES, DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOT, AND WALKING PATH IMPROVEMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the firm of Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this field; and WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. to provide engineering services for the design of site improvements at North Olmsted Park including tennis courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard courts, lighting, water lines, driveway and parking lot, and walking path improvements. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this project, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
