CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 41 <br />BY.• MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH CHAGRIN VALLEY ENGINEERING, LTD. <br />TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN <br />OF SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK <br />INCLUDING TENNIS COURTS, BA5KETBALL COURTS, <br />SHUFFLEBOARD COURTS, LIGHTING, WATER LINES, <br />DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOT, AND WALKING PATH <br />IMPROVEMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the firm of Chagrin <br />Valley Engineering, Ltd. be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their <br />expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf <br />of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. to provide engineering services <br />for the design of site improvements at North Olmsted Park including tennis courts, <br />basketball courts, shuffleboard courts, lighting, water lines, driveway and parking lot, and <br />walking path improvements. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />
