<br />fsa <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 38 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH GREAT LAKES BILLING, <br />ASSOCIATES, INC., TO PROVIDE BILLING AND <br />COLLECTION SERVICES FOR THE NON-RESIDENT <br />CHARGES FOR RENDERING EMERGENCY MEDICAL <br />SERVICES AND AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION BY TIJE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of Great Lakes Billing <br />Associates, Inc., be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this field; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council does accordingly desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract <br />with said firm for and on behalf of the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />an Agreement with Great Lakes Billing Associates, Inc., to provide billing and collection services <br />for the collection of non-resident charges for emergency medical services and ambulance <br />transportation by the City of North Olmsted. A copy of said Agreement marked as Exhibit "A," <br />is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessazy for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to enter into this contract to protect public finances, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />page 1 <br />
