City of North Olmsted lawsuit; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Law be, and he hereby is, authorized to retain the <br />services of Hilary S. Taylor, Esq., of the Law Firm of Weston Hurd Fallon Paisley & Howley, <br />L.L.P., to represent the City of North Olmsted in the pending § 1988 fee litigation arising out of <br />the case of North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce v. City of North Olmsted, United States District <br />Court, Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, Case No. 1: 98 CV 0810. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to retain said Hilary Taylor, before his services are <br />retained elsewhere, and to retain him sufficiently in advance of any hearing set on the attorney fee <br />motion so that he may adequately prepare, advise and assist the Director of Law, and further <br />provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: dift c ? j /' <br />A7TEST.• ; <br />BARBARA L.
