CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-26 <br />By: Mayor Musial and the Entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITIZENS PLEDGE OF THE <br />FAITH COMMUNITIES FORUM. <br />WHEREAS, the mission of the Faith Communities Forum, established in <br />September, 1998, is to provide a forum where the City of North Olmsted, North Olmsted <br />City Schools, and clergy and lay persons representing religious groups of the citizens of <br />North Olmsted can share information and develop strategies to address significant and <br />ethical issues of concern to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and all members of this Council believe that all persons <br />should be treated with dignity and respect; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and all members of this Council further believe that the <br />rights our society guarantees can be sustained only through the exercise of personal <br />responsibility; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and all members of this Council further believe that the <br />family is the primary educator of its children, and that the faith communities and the <br />schools support this concept; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and all members of this Council further believe that a <br />unified message from the North Olmsted City Schools, the City of North Olmsted and the <br />faith communities of basic principles is necessary for a healthy community; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RE50LVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF <br />OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the following Citizens Pledge is hereby adopted and supported by the <br />City of North Olmsted, as approved by the Faith Communities Forum:
