CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-20 <br />By: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF ALL <br />5LUDGE GENERATED BY THE NORTH OLMSTED WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT <br />FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the cunent contract for sludge pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />for the City of North Olmsted will expire on June 30, 2000 and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to have the Director of <br />Public Service advertise for bids for the purpose of entering into a new contract with a <br />private hauler to perform the service of sludge pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the collection and disposal of all sludge generated by the North <br />Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of North Olmsted in accordance with <br />specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the <br />City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to provide for the cleanliness of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
