CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 15 <br />BY: Councilman Paul Miller <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A"NO <br />TURN ON RED" (R-23-24) SIGN WITH A SUPPLEMENTARY LEGEND "7 A.M. <br />TO 8 P.M." AT THE INTERSECTION OF MILL ROAD AND DOVER CENTER <br />ROAD FOR TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION ON MILL <br />ROAD AND TURNING SOUTH ONTO DOVER CENTER ROAD AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best interest <br />of public safety to install a"No Turn on Red" sign, at the intersection of Mill Road and <br />Dover Center Road for traffic travelling in a easterly direction on Mill Road and turning <br />south onto Dover Center Road; for the hours of "7 A.M. to 8 P.M." and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the Traffic <br />Control File to provide for the installation of said tra.ffic control sign; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic code provides for the maintenance of a Traffic <br />Code for the maintenance of a Traffic Control File which said file can be amended only by <br />ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and it is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein <br />the installation of a"No Turn on Red, 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.," sign as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper <br />department cause said sign to be installed in accordance with the terms of this Ordinance. <br />
