(b) Cornerstones, dedications and other similar building plaques or architectural <br />elements incorporated into a building, in materials and colors compatible with the <br />building design, displaying only the building's name, owner's name, architect's name, <br />date(s) of construction, brief dedication or other historical information, and not <br />exceeding eight (8) square feet in total area; <br />(c) Signs which are attached to the inside of a window, do not exceed ten (10) <br />square feet in sign face area, and do not cover more than twenty-five percent (25%) of <br />the area of the window pane; <br />(d) Signs which are an integral part of the historic character of a structure that has <br />been designated an official landmark or historic structure by any agency or body of the <br />governments of the United States, State of Ohio, Cuyahoga County or City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />(e) Hand-held signs not set on or affixed to the ground; <br />(f) Temporary signs measuring less than twelve (12) square feet in sign face area, <br />provided that such signs otherwise comply with all other requirements of Section <br />1163.33; <br />(g) Monuments and markings within a cemetery; <br />(h) Any address numbers required by the Building Code 1351.01, unless larger <br />than six (6) inches in height. <br />1163.05 APPLICATION FOR ERECTION PERMIT. <br />Application for an erection permit shall be made to the Building Commissioner <br />and shall contain and have aitached the following information and/or documentation: <br />(a) Name, address and telephone number of the applicant. <br />(b) Location of building, structure, or lot to which or upon which the sign or other <br />advertising structure is to be attached or erected. <br />(c) Drawing depicting the position of the sign or other advertising structure in <br />relation to any buildings, structures, streets or drives within a distance of one hundred <br />fifty (150) feet, measured in a straight line without regard to intervening buildings, <br />structures, streets or drives. <br />(d) Two blueprints or ink drawings of the plans and specifications and method of <br />construction and attachment of the sign or advertising structure to the building or into <br />the ground. <br />5 <br />
