CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-9 <br />BY: Paul Miller <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED AND ORDINANCE NO. 86-30 TO REPLACE THE EXISTING <br />"NO TURN ON RED" (R-23-24) SIGN WITH A NEW "NO TURN ON RED" (R-23- <br />24) SIGN THAT INCLUDES THE SUPPLEMENTARY LEGEND "7 A.M. TO 8 P.M." <br />AT THE INTERSECTION OF DOVER CENTER ROAD AND BROOKPARK <br />EXTENSION FOR TRAFFIC TRAVELING 1N A WESTERLY DIRECTION ON <br />BROOKPARK EXTENSION AND TURNING NORTH ONTO DOVER CENTER <br />ROAD AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best <br />interest of public safety to include a time limitation for the "No Turn on Red" sign, at the <br />intersection of Dover Center Road and Brookpark Extension for traffic traveling in a <br />westerly direction on Brookpark Extension and turning north onto Dover Center Road; <br />for the hours of " 7 A.M. to 8 P.M." and, <br />WHEREAS, It is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the Traffic <br />Control File to provide for the installation of said traffic control sign; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File that said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Police Department be and they are hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein <br />the installation of a"No Turn on Red, 7 A.M. to 8 P.M." sign at the intersection of Dover <br />Center Road and Brookpark Extension. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper <br />department cause said sign to be installed in accordance with the terms of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to correct a traffic problem that <br />
