The salaries and hourly rates specified in Section 12 shall be established by the Director of Public <br />Safety and the Mayor." <br />Be, and the same hereby is, amended, and, as amended, shall read as follows: <br />"SECTION 12: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for various employees of the <br />Park and Recreation Department. <br /> FROM TO <br /> 1998 1999 2000 <br />A. Parks & Recreation Manager 35,000 48,876 50,342 51,852Annually <br />B. Assistant Pazks & 30,405 46,362 47,753 49,186Annually <br /> Recreation Manager <br />C. Maintenance Foreman 29,315 45,112 46,465 47,859Annually <br />F. Operations Support <br />Personnel (including Min. Wage $16.00/hour <br />part-time employees) <br />G. The salaries and hourly rates specified in Section 12 shall be established by the Director of Public <br />Safety and the Mayor. " <br />SECTION 2: That any Ordinance, or parts of Ordinances, including Ordinance No. 86-50, <br />which are in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are, to the extent of any such <br />inconsistency or conflict, expressly repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to adopt this legislation prior to the end of 1999 in order that the new <br />compensation rates for part-time employees in the Parks and Recreation Department are in place by <br />January 1, 2000; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />2
