<br />ascribed status, provided that such person lends money as one of the principal aspects or incident
<br />to his or her principal business;
<br />(D) Discriminate against any person in the terms or conditions of selling, transferring,
<br />assigning, brokering, renting, leasing, or subleasing any dwelling or in furnishing facilities,
<br />services, or privileges in connection with the ownership, occupancy, or use of any dwelling,
<br />including the sale of fire, extended coverage or homeowners insurance, because of race, color,
<br />religion, sex, ancestry, familial status, age, sexual orientation, national origin, and/or handicap;
<br />(E) Discriminate against any person in the terms or conditions of any loan of money,
<br />purchase of loans, or in providing other financial assistance, whether or not secured by mortgage
<br />or otherwise, for the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, repair or maintenance of a
<br />dwelling, or discriminate in the making or purchasing of loans or in providing other financial
<br />assistance secured by residential real estate because of ascribed status;
<br />(F) (1) Discriminate in the sale or rental, or to otherwise make available or deny, a dwelling to
<br />any buyer or rental because of a handicap o£
<br />(a) that buyer or renter;
<br />(b) a person residing in or intending to reside in that dwelling after it is sold, rented, or
<br />made available; or
<br />(c) any person associated with that buyer or renter.
<br />(2) Discriminate against any person in the terms, conditions, or privileges of sale or rental of
<br />a dwelling, or in the provision of services or facilities in connection with such dwelling, because
<br />of a handicap of:
<br />(a) that person; or
<br />(b) a person residing in or intending to reside in that dwelling after it is sold, rented, or
<br />made available;
<br />(c) any person associated with that person.
<br />(3) For purposes of this subsection, discrimination includes:
<br />(a) Refuse to permit, at the expense of a handicapped person, reasonable modifications
<br />of existing premises occupied or to be occupied by such person if such modifications may be
<br />necessary to afford such person full enjoyment of the premises, except that, in the case of a
<br />rental, no modification need be permitted unless the renter first agrees to restore the interior of
<br />the premises to the condition that existed before the modification, reasonable wear and tear
<br />excepted unless previously negotiated with the landlord;
<br />(b) Refuse to make reasonable accommodations in rules, policies, practices, or services,
<br />when such accommodations may be necessary to afford a handicapped person equal opportunity
<br />to use and enjoy a dwelling;
<br />(c) Construct covered multi-family dwellings that do not provide for accessibility and
<br />usability for physically handicapped persons in compliance with applicable state or federal law,
<br />whichever is controlling;
