A, <br />? <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-145 <br />BY: COUNCILMAN O'GRADY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING FOR A SECOND TIME <br />SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE 98-32 ENTITLED "AN <br />ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION <br />FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE <br />PERSONNEL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, " SO AS <br />TO PROVIDE A YEAR 2000 SALARY RATE FOR THE NEW <br />PART-TIME CIVIL ASSISTANT IN THE LAW DEPARTMENT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council on February 2, 1999, adopted Ordinance No. 99-13 which <br />amended Ordinance No. 98-32, and therein provided for the elimination of two law clerk positions <br />and the creation of a second part-time civil assistant (lawyer) in the City Law Department; and <br />WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 99-13 provided for an annual salary rate of $25,000.00 <br />for said position for the year 1999, but did not provide a salary rate for the year 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Law recommends that the said new civil assistant position <br />be funded for another year with an increase of three percent (3 %) in the annual salary rate for said <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to continue the new part-time civil assistant <br />position in the Law Department for an additional year and to provide for said position the annual <br />salary rate recommended by the Director of Law; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance 98-32, which currently reads, as amended by <br />Ordinance No. 99-13, as follows: <br />"SECTION 2: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for employees of <br />the Department of Law. The salaries specified in this section shall be determined by the Director <br />of Law as appropriate. <br />?,.
