<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-138 <br />BY: Mayor Norman T. Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />CONTINUOUS STANDBY GENERATOR SET AS DETAILED IN THE <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the Director <br />of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted, are on file; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of a continuous standby generator will provide the City with an <br />additional level of preparedness for an emergency resulting from a possible YZK malfunction or <br />other natural or manmade disaster; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to purchase said equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of one continuous standby generator set according to <br />specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and appraval by the Mayor. <br />/Y <br />PASSED: <br />f?. <br />AYT4ST: ' <br />_7; <br />!
