!r <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-126 <br />BY: Council Members Gareau, Miller and Kasler <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW CHAPTER 177 OF <br />THE CITYADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ENTITLED <br />"DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING, "IN ORDER TO <br />ESTABLISHA DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING FOR THE <br />ClTY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND TO CREATE THE <br />POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCYAS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, pursuant to the authority granted to it in Article V, Section 1 of <br />the City Charter, desires to establish a Department of Planning and provide therein for the <br />creation of the position of Director of Planning; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT O.RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI?'Y OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there be, and hereby is, created new Chapter 177 of the <br />Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Department of Planning," which, as <br />created, shall read in its entirety as follows in attached Exhibit A, which is adopted hereto and <br />incorporated herein as if fully restated herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any Ordinance, or any part of any Ordinance, inconsistent or in <br />conflict with this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such inconsistency or conflict, hereby <br />repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that a city <br />planner can be hired to address pressing planning needs in the City, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
