CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-103 <br />BY: Mayor Norman T. Musial, Councilman Thomas O'Crrady, Councilman Duane Limpert <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING UPON THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />COMNIISSIONERS, THE COLTNTY TREASURER, AND THE COLTNTY <br />LINKED DEPOSIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR TO CONSIDER THE <br />INCLUSION OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED 1N THE CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY LINKED DEPOSIT PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is a mature suburb with relatively little land <br />remaining for residential development; and <br />WHEREAS, the average age of homes in the City of North Olmsted exceeds 30 years; and <br />WHEREAS, the average sale price of homes in the City of North Olmsted in 1997 was on <br />the order of $120,900, which is well below the $250,000 property cutoffvalue as set forth in <br />the Cuyahoga Ccunty Lined Deposit Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the average federal adjusted gross income for individuals filing as residents of <br />the North Olmsted City School District on the 1996 Ohio tax returns was $35,983; and <br />WHEREAS, a proactive residential property inspection program was initiated in 1999 to <br />ensure our property values are maintained; and <br />WHEREAS, this program is currently being sought by residents of the City of North <br />Olmsted as a cost-effective way to allow them to make improvements to their homes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of City Council believe that this program would <br />provide a needed benefit to certain residents of this city and would enhance the city as a <br />whole. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Cuyahoga County Commissioners, the Cuyahoga County Treasurer and <br />the Cuyahoga County Linked Deposit Program Coordinator be contacted to emphasize the <br />importance of this program for welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, and the <br />strong wish of the Mayor and members of City Council to have the City of North Olmsted <br />included as a participant in the Cuyahoga County Linked Deposit Program. <br />?
