Planning <br />Commission may require lower mounting heights if adjoining grade is lower than developed <br />grade. <br />(fl Concrete pedestals a minimum of 30 inches high shall be installed for all light <br />poles in or within 5 feet of the parking lot. <br />(g) Emergency eait lighting shall be activated by door hardware or motion <br />detectors. <br />(6) Nonessential lig6ting for other areas may be installed upon approval of the <br />Planniwg Commission. This shall include landscape lig6ting, accent lighting of the structure, <br />sign lighting, decorative Gghting and lighting for similar purposes. <br />(i) No flickering or flashing Gght shall be permitted, eacept for temporary holiday <br />decorations. Light fiatures used to illuminate tlags, statues, or any other objects mounted on a <br />pole, pedestal, or platform shall use a narrow cone beam or light that will not eatend beyond <br />the iiluminated object. For upward-direct architectural, landscape, and decorative lighting, <br />direct light emissions shall not be visible above the building line roof. <br />(j) Lig6ting essential to safety of the public and employees shall be terminated when <br />the site is not occupied. For facilities that are occupied between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. the <br />following morning, the lighting designer shall submit a plan disclosing a 50% reduction in <br />lighting levels wit6 emphasis on terminating lighting in parking areas that will nat be <br />reasonably used during these hours." <br />SECTION 2: That Sections 1126.02 and 1161.12 of the Zoning Code, as previously <br />adopted, are hereby repealed. In addition any other ordinance or parts of any ordinance which is <br />inconsistent with any ofthe provisions ofthis ordinance is hereby repealed. <br />
