??. <br />Am. Sub. S.B. 3 which will financially discourage or preclude the City of North Olmsted from <br />acting as an aggregator for consumer purchases of retail electric power within the City of North <br />Olmsted pursuant to Article XI, Section 2 of the North Olmsted Charter and proposed R.C. <br />Section 4928.20; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted strongly opposes those <br />provisions of Am. Sub. S.B. 3 which would require municipal corporations acting as aggregators <br />for the purchase of retail electric power by consumer groups located within their municipal <br />boundaries to first obtain written consent (opt-in requirement) from each said consumer within <br />said group. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of this Council is hereby directed to forward an attested <br />copy of this Resolution, immediately upon its passage and approval, to State Representative Sally <br />Conway Kilbane, State Senator Robert Spada and to Governor Robert Taft. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to transmit this Resolution to the appropriate <br />state officials in Columbus prior to further action being taken on Am. Sub.
