<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-28 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKav and Councilman George Nashar <br />?..? <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO IMPROVE LORAIN ROAD, STATE ROUTE 10, <br />FROM THE WEST CORPORATION LINE TO THE EAST CORPORATION <br />LINE BY RESURFACING AND CURB AND CATCH BASIN REPAIR, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the pavement, curbing, and catch basins on Lorain Road, State Route 10, <br />have deteriorated from the west corporation line to the east corporation line, and <br />WHEREAS, Lorain Road, State Route 10, is a principal arterial highway through the <br />City ofNorth Olmsted, carrying approxirriately 40,000 vehicles per day, and <br />WHEREA5, the City of North Olmsted is desirous of cooperating with the Staxe of Ohio, <br />Department of Transportation, in the improvement of Lorain Road, State Route 10. <br />NOW 'I'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY Tf-IE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby requests that the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation improve Lorain Road, State Route 10, from the west corporation line to the east <br />corporation line by resurfacing the pavement and repairing the curbing and catch basins under the <br />supervision of the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary for the protection of the traveling public, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in foTc?p immediately its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED -?- ? ? <br />ATEST: <br />? 1 <br />? ) <br />Barbara L.
