.__ ? . <br />Ordinance No. 99-9 <br />Page 2 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City, upon recommendation of the Director of Public <br />Service, having already awarded a contract to Morton International, Inc. to supply road <br />salt, has deternuned that said contractor recently has been unable to meet the City's <br />demand for road salt. Because of the emergency need, the Director of Public Service is <br />authorized to purchase road salt on an emergency basis from other sources, including but <br />not limited to, Acme Company. The authority to purchase from other sources shall be <br />limited to times and situations when Morton International, Inc. is unable to meet the <br />demand of the City during the balance of the year 1999. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />rneasure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the residents, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />r ...? <br />? <br />PASSED: <br />X EST: <br />' 4:._.. <br />Barbara L.
