Ch. 1317 <br />Electrical fees - see BLDG. 1321-04 <br />Air conditioning and handling equipment compliance - see <br />BLDG. 1355.02 <br />1309.01 CURRENT EDITION ADOPTED. <br />There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if set out at length herein that <br />certain code known as the National Electrical Code, 1999 edition, as published by the National <br />Fire Protection Association, for the purpose of safeguarding persons and property from hazard <br />arising from the use of electricity, subject to the modifications provided in Sections 1309.03 et <br />seq. <br />1309.02 FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES. <br />Copies of the National Electrical Code adopted herein are on file with the Clerk of Council <br />and in the County law library for inspection by the public. In addition the Clerk of Council has <br />copies available for distribution to the public at cost. <br />1309.03 COVERING WIRING PRIOR TO INSPECTION PROHIBITED. <br />When the wiring or electrical equipment in any building is being altered or installed, no <br />person shall cover such wiring or equipment, or cause the same to be covered, until the Electrical <br />Inspector has inspected and approved the wiring and equipment. <br />1309.04 SERVICES. <br />National Electrical Code Article 230, Section 212, is hereby added to read as follows: <br />230-212 Services. <br />All new services shall be installed in attached garages, basements or first floor level only. <br />
