<br />???? <br />?.M0 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 174 <br />BY: Council Member McKay <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT <br />WITH SBC PROVIDING FOR THE CITY TO PARTICIPATE IN SBC'S <br />YALUELINK PROGRAM AND RECEIVE VOLUME DISCOUNTS <br />FOR PHONE IISE. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, on June 17, 2003, adopted Resolution No. 2003-89, <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a seven-year renewal agreement with SBC Global Services, <br />Inc., providing for centrex services for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance recommends that this Council authorize the Mayor <br />to enter into a further agreement with SBC in order that the City may participate in SBC's <br />Valuelink Program and obtain volume discounts for phone use; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a three-year contract with SBC to provide said volume discounts to the City; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1_ That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement <br />with SBC for a three-year term, to provide for the City's participation in the SBC Valuelink <br />program in order to obtain volume discounts for phone use, a11 in accordance with the contract <br />attached hereto and marked as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />,-? <br />?1 <br />PASSED: t,c, - <br />t? <br />AT T.• <br />JA4R BA RA L.
