IPAOWI <br />1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -169 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CELL PHONES AND CELL <br />PHONE SERVICE PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS OFFICE, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID PURCHASE SUB.IECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, IF NECESSARY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WKEREAS, specifications for the purchase of cell phones and cell phone service have <br />been prepared and are on file in the Office of the Director of Public Service; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for said purchase of cell phones and cell phone service, and to authorize the <br />Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the I}irector of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of cell phones and cell phone service in accordance with <br />specifications now on file in his office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />if necessary, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to co- <br />ordinate service with contract deadlines, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall ta.ke effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: Ia 3- C) <br />Second Reading: ?- ? ti D? <br />Third Reading;__ _ <br />, <br />Committee: .?;A?_:._. _ <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara L.
