<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2003-157 <br />BY: Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert and Dailey <br />AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THAT THE REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY <br />THE CITYAND LOCATED AT 27425 BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD, WHICH <br />IS PRESENTLY BEING IISED AS THE SITE OF THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />BRANCH OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY BiIT IS NO <br />LONGER NEEDED FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, BE SOLD TO THE <br />BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CITY SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A <br />CONTRACT AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO <br />EFFECTUATE THE SAID SALE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS <br />AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City owns real property located at 27425 Butternut Ridge Road which is <br />presently being used as the site of the North Olmsted branch of the Cuyahoga County Public <br />Library; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is presently constructing a new building on Lorain Road, <br />immediately west of the City Hall complex, which, when completed in or about February 2004, <br />will become the new site for the North Olmsted branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the said real property owned by the City and located at 27425 Butternut <br />Ridge Road will no longer be needed by the Cuyahoga County Public Library, and the City and <br />Library intend to terminate their lease of the property at 27425 Butternut Ridge Road, following <br />completion of the construction of the new library; and <br />WHEREAS, the said real property is not presently needed by the City for any municipal <br />purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the North Olmsted City School District has <br />expressed an interest in purchasing the said real property from the City as a future site for its <br />administrative offices; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to sell the real property at 27425 Butternut <br />Ridge Road to the Board of Education upon the terms and conditions negotiated by the Mayor <br />and the Superintendent of the School District, and subject to the lease currently existing between <br />the City and the Cuyahoga County Public Library;
