Ordinance No. 2003-145 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 1: That Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 2002-149, which presently <br />read as follows: <br />"SECTION 1: That the D'uector of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids utilizing both the single supplier method of <br />furnishing and the multiple supplier method of furnishing for the purchase <br />of those items of furniture and furnishings for the New North Olmsted <br />Branch Library that are identified as "Competitive Bid Items, with an <br />estimated total expenditure of $30,561.65, in the Master Worksheet <br />prepared by Spice Costantino Architects and dated July 4, 2003, and <br />further in accordance with the specifications now on file in his office. <br />"SECTION 2: That the Mayor, upon approval by the Board of Control <br />and the written concurrence of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract or cornracts with the lowest and <br />best bidder or bidders to purchase the furniture and furnishings referred to <br />in Section 1 above from either a single supplier or from multiple suppliers. <br />The contract or contracts shall be in a form and substance consistent with <br />the provisions of this Ordinance and approved by the Mayor and Director <br />of Law." <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ A5 FOLLOWS: <br />"SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to solicit proposals utilizing both the single supplier method of <br />furnishing and the multiple supplier method of furnishing for the purchase <br />of those items of furniture and furnishings for the New North Olmsted <br />Branch Library that are identified as "Group B Items," with an estimated <br />total expenditure of $24,978.59, in the Master Worksheet prepared by <br />Spice Costantino Architects, as revised from time to time, and further in <br />accordance with the specifications now on file in his office. <br />"SECTION 2: That the Mayor, after obtaining the written concurrence of <br />the Cuyahoga County Public Library and the Director of Finance, is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract or contracts, if and as necessary, <br />with the supplier or suppliers selected by the Director of Public Service as <br />lowest and best to purchase the furniture and furnishings referred to in <br />Section 1 above from either a single supplier or from multiple suppliers. <br />Any contract or contracts executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and <br />substance consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance and approved <br />by the Mayor and Director of Law." <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />further for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately so <br />that the timetable for the purchase of furniture and furnishings for the new Library not be <br />':1§'a1?Y'. . . . . ... . , .. ... . . . . .. ." ....
