CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2003 -144 BY: Council Member Gareau AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1126.03 AND 1126.04 OF CHAPTER 1126 OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING CODE ENTITLED "COMMERCIAL AND OTHER BUILDING PERMITS"; TO PROVIDE FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING TO REVIEW DEVELOPMENT PLANS, ASAMENDED. WHEREAS, by Ordinance 1999-126, passed August 7, 2002, this Council established the Department of Planning and later in 2003 appropriated funds for the Director of Planning; and WHEREAS, this Council has provided for building permit and development review procedures before the Architectural Review Board and Planning Commission in Chapters 1125 and 1126 of the Planning and Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish the authority of the Director of Planning with respect to said building permit and development review procedures in the City, to work with and coordinate such review matters following the Building Commissioners receipt of such application, and to provide professional consultation to all the administrative bodies of the City; and C??--? , WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on the ), A,4 _ day of ? 2003, by formal motion, recommended that this Ordinance, proposing to amend Chapter 1126 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted by changing the procedure for review by the Director of Planning for commercial building permits and adopting other new procedures (approved)(disapproved); and WHEREAS, following publication of newspaper notice, a public hearing was held in conformance with the provisions of Section 14 Article N of the Charter and Section 1127.03 of the Zoning Code, on the -3 day of 2003: k/ NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That Sections 1126.03 of Chapter 1126 of the Zoning and Planning Code which presently reads as follows:
