? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2003 -122 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT FOR THE 1VEW NORTH OLMSTED <br />BRANCH LIBRARY OF THE CUYAHOGA COIINTY PUBLIC <br />LIBRARY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT FOR SAID PURCHASE WITH THE LOWEST AND <br />BEST BIDDER, SUBIECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to advertise for bids for the purchase of audio-visual equipment for the new <br />North Olmsted Branch Library of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, and, subject to <br />approval of the Board of Control, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a written contract <br />for said purchase with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for the purchase of audio-visual equipment for the new North <br />Olmsted branch library of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, in accordance with the <br />specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a written contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder for the sa.id purchase. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately so that the competitive bidding process may ;be completed and the subject <br />equipment, necessary for the operation of the new library, purchased prior to the opening <br />of the Library scheduled for February, 2004, and, further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />, <br />PASSED: <br />?. <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Readin •_ . <br />Committee: <br />?' / a3 <br />a 0l a <br />? <br />_ a ???,fa? <br />?...?.., ...,? . . ,.r,??.??
