.?« <br />s <br />If <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2003 -121 <br />BY: Mayor Musial. <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER I1VT0 <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH A. S.I. TO PRDVIDE INTERIOR SIGNAGE <br />FOR THE NEW LIBRARY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with A.S.I. to provide interior signage for the new North Olmsted branch of <br />the Cuyahoga County Public Library; and <br />WHEREAS, this expenditure need not be made pursuam to competitive bidding <br />or following approval of the Board of Control, because it will be in an amount less than <br />$25,000.00; <br />NOA' THEREFO.RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CIIYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an <br />agreement with A. S.I. for the purpose of providing interior signage for the new North <br />Olmsted branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. The Agreement shall be <br />substantially in the form of the Agreement attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That there are sufficient funds appropriated to authorize this <br />expenditure which shall not exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00). <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be a.n emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately because A. S.I. requires substantial advance notice to prepare and provide the <br />interior signage which is needed for the new library's operations and the new library will <br />not be able to open on time if this ordinance does not immediately go into effect, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: 7, lu° 3 <br />First Reading: S/ q lo <br />Second Reading: 1(0 0 3 <br />Third Reading: i G j^i / 0 3 <br />Committee: ', ace? <br />
