... <br />?,.lk <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 100 <br />BY: <br />Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW SECTION 179.03 OF <br />CHAPTER 179 OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING, " IN ORDER <br />TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, pursuant to the recommendation of the Mayor, desires to <br />establish the position of Economic Development Manager within the Department of Planning; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH QLMSTED, CUYAHQGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there be, and hereby is, created new Section 179.03 of Chapter 179 of <br />the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Planning," which, <br />as created, shall read in its entirety as follows: <br />"179.03 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. <br />(a) There is hereby created within this Department the position of Economic <br />Development Manager. The Economic Development Manager shall be a full-time employee <br />appointed by the Director of Planning. He shall have a Bachelor's degree from a four year <br />accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Business or Public Administration, <br />Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field of study. In addition, he shall have a <br />minimum two years of related experience. <br />(b) The Economic Development Manager shall be responsible for preparation and <br />implementation of economic plans, programs and strategies designed to attract and retain <br />businesses in the City. He shall work under the supervision of the Director of Planning and shall <br />perform such duties as may be delegated to him by the Director of Planning pursuant to the <br />position's job description on file in the Personnel Department." <br />5ECTION 2: That any Ordinance or any part of any Ordinance, inconsistent or in <br />conflict with this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such inconsistency or conflict, hereby <br />repealed. <br />
