CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 100 BY: Mayor Musial AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW SECTION 179.03 OF CHAPTER 179 OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING, " IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council, pursuant to the recommendation of the Mayor, desires to establish the position of Economic Development Manager within the Department of Planning; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH QLMSTED, CUYAHQGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That there be, and hereby is, created new Section 179.03 of Chapter 179 of the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Planning," which, as created, shall read in its entirety as follows: "179.03 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. (a) There is hereby created within this Department the position of Economic Development Manager. The Economic Development Manager shall be a full-time employee appointed by the Director of Planning. He shall have a Bachelor's degree from a four year accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Business or Public Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field of study. In addition, he shall have a minimum two years of related experience. (b) The Economic Development Manager shall be responsible for preparation and implementation of economic plans, programs and strategies designed to attract and retain businesses in the City. He shall work under the supervision of the Director of Planning and shall perform such duties as may be delegated to him by the Director of Planning pursuant to the position's job description on file in the Personnel Department." 5ECTION 2: That any Ordinance or any part of any Ordinance, inconsistent or in conflict with this Ordinance is, to the extent of any such inconsistency or conflict, hereby repealed.
