<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RE50LUTION NO. 2003 - 83 <br />BY: Mayor Musial and the Entire Council <br />01 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH DiSILVESTRO ROOFING <br />COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING AN EMERGENCY <br />REPLACEMENT OF THE ROOF AT FIRE STATION NUMBER <br />TWO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has determined that the roof at Fire <br />Station Number Two is in such dire condition that an emergency threatening the health, <br />safety and welfare of the employees working at said Fire Station is now present; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has procured three estimates for the <br />necessary replacement of the roof at Fire Station Number Two, and recommends that the <br />City contract with DiSilvestro Roofing Company, which provided the lowest and best of <br />the three estimates in the Director's and Fire Chiefls estimation; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, upon review of the Director's determination, expressly <br />finds that a real and present emergency exists at Fire Station Number Two; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems this emergency to be of sufficient magnitude to <br />forego competitive public bidding for the replacement of the roof at Fire Station Number <br />Two, in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the employees who work at Fire <br />Station Number Two; <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that the recommendation of the Director of <br />Public Safety and Fire Chief to contract with DiSilvestro Roofing Company is reasonable <br />and in the best interests of the City and its employees who work at Fire Station Number <br />Two; and <br />WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated for this emergency <br />expenditure; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize Mayor, following approval <br />of the Board of Control, to immediately enter into a contract with DiSilvestro Roofing <br />Company to make the necessary emergency replacement of the roof at Fire Station <br />Number Two; <br />,.. _, .??.?.???,? :??,.?... , , , . .?.. • ?.?. ,,, , .:- _ , ....
