CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 81 BY: Mayor Musial A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A RENEWAL AGREEMENT, FOR A ONE-YEAR TERM, WITH STEPHEN CAMPBELL & ASSOCIATES, PROVIDING FOR THE SERVICE AND REPAIR OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S 32 CHANNEL OPTICAL RECORDING EQUIPMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Police Department to renew its contract with Stephen Campbell & Associates providing for the service and repair of the Police Department's 32 Channel Optical Recording Equipment that is used to record a11 phone lines and radio frequencies of the Police Department; and WHEREAS, the said contract provides for an expenditure in excess of $2,000, thereby requiring Council authorization; and WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid said contract because the expenditures pursuant to the proposed contract will not exceed $15,000.00; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an contract with Stephen Campbell & Associates to provide the described services to the Police Department; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA ANb STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1_ That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement with Stephen Campbell & Associates, for a one year term, to provide service and repair to the Police Department's 32 Channel Optical Recording Equipment, which shall be in the form and substance of the attached "Guaranteed Maintenance Service Agreement," marked as Exhibit A, but shall provide for the elimination of the automatic renewal clause. SECTION 2: That the City is not authorized to expend, pursuant to said Agreement, an amount that exceeds $15,000.00.
