WITNESSETH WHEREAs, 8rowning?FeRis Industries of Ohio, Inc. and the City of North Oimsted entered into a Ccntract (for tim Caliection and Disposa) cf 5aiid Waste, and Recyclable Materials Coliecti?on and Processing, including Yard Waste) on December 39,1996; and WHERF-AS, the present agreement for collection and disposai of garbage and rubbish in the City of North Olmsted expires pecember 31, 2001. (see extended agraemertt entered inta January 1, 2000); and WHERF-AS, in accordance with said contract, said agreement may be extended for five one-year periods; and WHEREAS, the City of North dlmsted desires tc extend the contract for tte colfection and dispasal of solid waste and recyclable materiafs coqecticn and processing for a twa yeat peciod; ' In accordance with said agreement, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an extension a8reement with Brawning-Ferris lndustries af Ohio, lnc, to proWide ior the collection and disposai of solid waste, and recyciable materials ccllewtion and processing, including yard waste in the City af North Olmsted U accordanEe with the proposal submitted, specifiptions and bidding instrucfians through and including December 31, 2003. Browning-FeRis IndustrFes of Ohio, Inc. agrees to the fo(lovfing rates through and incfuding December 31, 2003: $11.86 per unit per month including.mulfi,familY uniXs (condominiums) for the collection of sofid waste materials, recycling materials and yatd waste. The current uni# count of 10,135 will remain the same during this extension period unless the City's geographjcal boundarks change or the City.adds multi-famliy unlts (condominiums) which require senrice.
