CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 64 BY: Mayor Musial AN ORDVVANCE AUTHORIZVVG THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDED LEASF-IPURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH DEERE CREDIT, INC., IN ORDER TO ADD TO THE CITY'S MASTER LEASE SCHEDULE WITH DEERE CREDIT, INC., A CERTAIN 1999 JOHN DEERE 1145 ROTARY MOWER WITH 72" LA.STEC DECK, FiIRTHER AUTHORISING THE TRADE-IN OF EXISTING LAWN MOWING EQUIPMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. N'HEREAS, the Director of Public Safety, upon the recommendation of the Springvale Golf Course Facility Manager, has recommended that the City enter into an amended Lease/Purchase Agreement with Deere Credit, Inc., to add to the Master Lease Schedule a certain 1999 John Deere 1145 Rotary Mower with 72" Lastec Deck, for use at the Springvale Golf Course; and WHEREAS, in connection with this lease/purchase transaction, it is proposed that the City "trade-in" the City's Toro Groundmaster 3000 and receive a credit of $2,000.00 against the lease/purchase price of $11,500.00; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has further advised this Council that the proposed Lease/Purchase Agreement is more cost effective than the alternative of repairing existing equipment and will add value to the fleet of lawnmowing equipment in service at the Springvale Golf Course; and WHEREAS, this Council accordingly desires to authorize and direct the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an amended Lease/Purchase Agreement with Deere Credit, Inc, and trade-in the City's Toro Groundmaster 3000; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to enter into an amended Lease/Purchase Agreement with Deere Credit, Inc., for the purpose of amending the City's Master Lease Schedule with Deere Credit, Inc., so as to add a certain 1999 John Deere 1145 Rotary Mower 4 W.D. with 72" Lastec Deck, and to trade-in the City's Tora Groundmaster 3000, all as set forth more specifically in the Xenia Power Equipment proposal (quote date - 3/1012003) incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Exhibit A.
