? <br />A <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-63 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />BOARD OF HEALTH FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL <br />AND LARVAL AERIAL APPLICATIONS IN BRADLEY <br />WOODS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, under O.R.C. §3709.08 is a member of the <br />General Health District of Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has entered into a contract for the year 2003 <br />for health services to be performed by the Cuyahoga County Health District pursuant to <br />Ord. No 2002-148; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBI-) has planned to conduct <br />a Mosquito Control program via Larval Arial applications in Bradley Woods Reservation <br />and has proposed that and invited the City of North Olmsted to join with four (4) other <br />governmental agencies to contract for and to share the costs of said aerial applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted would contribute to the cost of said <br />mosquito control, equal to the participation of three (3) other govemmental units; and <br />WHEREAS, the mosquito control program via aerial applications in the area of <br />Bradley Woods Reservation is of vital concern to the health, safety and welfare of the <br />citizens of North Olmsted and participation in this areawide program is the most cost <br />effective way to preserve said health, safety and welfare. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OffiO: <br />SECTION 1: The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A", with the Cuyahoga County <br />General Health District to provide authorization for Mosquito Control for Larval Aerial <br />apptications in Bradley Woods in 2003, <br />
