?
Ordinance No. 2003-48
(d) Following the adoption of a Master Sign Plan, every sign permit issued for the site
pursuant to Chapter 1163 must conform therewith, unless the approved Master Sign Plan is
thereafter modified or amended and, if applicable, a variance is granted by the Board of Zoning
Appeals. No modification or amendment of a Master Sign Plan shall be granted by Council until
the request has been reviewed by the Architectural Board of Review and the Planning
Commission. Before granting a variance for any sign subject to a Master Sign Plan, the Board of
Zoning Appeals shall take into consideration the existing Master Sign Plan, whether or not
amendments thereto have been approved or denied by Council, and whether or not the
applicant's proposal deviates from the landowner's Master Sign Plan.
SECTION 2: That any Ordinance, or any part of any Ordinance, inconsistent or in
conflict with this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the
further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to
utilize the new Master Sign Plan procedure, thereby reducing variances from the zoning code
and encouraging greater consistency in development and further provided it receives the
affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED: D 003 First Reading:
Second Reading: ? v 3 O-W
- Third Reading:
Committee: ??- -?
ATTESK
.,
!
?
