? ?s>; •? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 25 <br />BY: Council Members Kasler, Miller, Dailey, Gareau and Nashar <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW SECTIONS 139.12 AND 141. 08 OF THE <br />ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ENTITLED, RESPECTIVELY, "ADDITIONAL <br />DUTIES OF SAFETY DIRECTOR" AND "ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF <br />SERVICE DIRECTOR," IN ORDER TO REQUIRE THE DIRECTORS OF <br />PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUBLIC SERVICE TO ATTEND ALL REGULAR <br />MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />WHEREAS, at the regular meetings of the City Council, questions and issues often arise <br />from members of the public, as well as from members of the City Council, which involve either <br />the Service or Safety Departments; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that the Directors of Public Service and Public Safety <br />should be present at a11 of the regular meetings of the City Council in order to address such <br />questions and issues from members of the public, as well as from members of the City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Sections 4 and 5, respectively, of the City Charter, provide that <br />the City Council may, by ordinance, establish additional duties for the Directors of Public Safety <br />and Public Service, consistent with their respective offices; and <br />WffEREAS, it is therefore the desire of this Council to establish that the duties of the <br />Directors of Public Service and Public Safety shall include attending the regular meetings of the <br />City Council, in order to respond to questions and issues raised by members of the public, as <br />wells as from the members of the City Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COIINTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />
