<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95 162 <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH STEIGER, HURRAY & <br />ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City's Radio Communication System is in need of repair; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the engineering firm of <br />Steiger, Hurray & Associates, Inc., be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their <br />expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express <br />its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />Agreement with Steiger, Hurray & Associates, Inc., to provide engineering services for <br />improvements to the City Radio Communications System. A copy of said Agreement is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor <br />,
