<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-161 <br />By: Councilman McKay <br />A RESOL UTION TO ADOPT THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />BALANCES AS OF DECEMBER 31, 1992 AND USE THESE <br />BALANCES AS THE BEGINNING BALANCES FOR <br />SUBSEQUENT YEARS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Whereas, the Auditor of State's office, Gary Fink and Associates and the Finance <br />Department have spent several months expending a great deal of time and effort to <br />resolve balancing problems arising from prior year computer system discrepancies and <br />destroyed audit workpapers supporting adjustments made by prior auditors; and <br />Whereas, upon the advice of the Auditor of State's Office, council wishes to <br />adopt the financial statement balances as of December 31, 1992. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the desire of this City Council to adopt the financial <br />statement balances as of December 31, 1992 as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
