CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95 - 156 <br />BY: Mayor Ed BoXle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH POLYTECH INC. TO <br />PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR GRADING, DRAINAGE, PAVING AND <br />SEWER IMPROVEMENTS FOR VIRGINIA AVENUE AND SUMMERLAND AVENUE. <br />WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a$300,000.00 Municipal Grant from the County <br />of Cuyahoga for this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the engineering firm of <br />Polytech Inc., be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this field; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express <br />its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />Agreement with Polytech Inc., to provide engineering services for Crrading, Drainage, Paving <br />and Sewer Improvements for Virginia Avenue and Summerland Avenue. A copy of said <br />Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project to stay within the schedule required by the County of Cuyahoga Department of <br />Development and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor <br />? . v ? ..,..? ? _ . <br />??., ?. <br />.< _
