CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />ORDINANCE N0. 95- 151 <br />BY: MAYOR ID BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING 'IIiE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREMENT <br />WITH OHIO COUNCIL 8 AND LOCAL #2681 OF 'II3E AMII2ICAN FIDERATION OF <br />STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL IIyIPLOYEES, COVERING SERVICE AND WASTE <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANr IIMPLOYEES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHERRAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bar;aining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHF,R.EAS, the Service Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant employees, <br />through Ohio Council 8 and Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County <br />and Municipal Fmployees, has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for <br />the Service Department employees and the Wastewater Treatment Plant employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Service <br />Department and Treatment Plant employees and concluded that bargaining with an <br />agreement which is satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into <br />the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNI'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with Ohio Council 8 and <br />Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees, a <br />copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked, <br />"Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be July l, 1995 through June 30, 1998. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1995 and <br />thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />immediately after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSEDJ-?
