JOB CLASSIFICATION <br />RESPONSIBLE TO <br />CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES OF THE CLASSIFICATION: <br />ECHANIC <br />DIVISION <br />FOREMEN <br />Employees within this job classification are required to service, repair, overhaul and <br />maintain gasoline and diesel equipment used by the City. <br />• Employees within the job classification Mechanic shall repair, service, overhaul <br />and maintain gasoline and diesel equipment, including but not limited to <br />automobites, trucks with a GVW of more than 26,000 pounds, trucks with a GVW <br />of fess than 26,000 pounds, bulldozers, tractors, backhoes, front-end loaders and <br />other types of on road and off road equipment. <br />• Employees within the job classification Mechanic shall be required to perform <br />welding, some body work and spray-painting of vehicles and equipment as <br />required. <br />• Employees within the job classification Mechanic shall work under limited general <br />supervision and is responsible for the organization of his work assignments with <br />instructions available from the foreman for out of the ordinary situations and <br />? <br />problems. <br />• Employees within the job classification Mechanic shall perform other duties as <br />assigned, within the general character and scope of the duties described above. <br />• Employees shall be required to maintain a valid commercial drivers license at all <br />times. <br />?. <br />? <br />EXHIBIT B - 3 <br />56 <br />,
